Release Health Funds on Time, Fomwan Tells FGN
Speaking when the Federation paid an advocacy visit to the state Commissioner for Finance Alhaji Nuradeeen Muhammad, the Bauchi State FOMWAN Amira, Hajiya Yagana Mohammed who led the other groups under the aegis of Partnership for Advocacy in Child and Family Health Project (PACFAH), said that The Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) and other development partners have urged the Bauchi State government to always release funds meant for the health sector on time,
and “We hope you will solicit to Governor Mohammed Abubakar for the timely presentation of budget to the state Assembly so that budget will be approved early for the timely take off of health activities. We are appealing for prompt release of fund to the ministries and parastatals concerned for the execution of MNCH activities to improve the health outcomes of women and children in the state,” the group pleaded. In his response, the state Commissioner for Finance Nasirudden Muhammad, said the state government was committed to the improvement in the health sector.
