Several cases of death have been reported during sex by the media but a recent study conducted in Germany said that sex does not trigger heart attack.
The study in the University of Ulm, Germany, places sex as an activity in the class of moderate exercise.
The study team led by Professor Dietrich Rothenbacher interviewed 536 people aged between 30 and 70 years who had survived heart attack by means of questionnaires; participants were asked how many times they had sex per week/month in the twelve months preceding the heart attack. The study lasted for ten years.
Before now sex was viewed as a strenuous exercise and those with heart conditions were told to   exercise restraint or were afraid to have sex.
