As part of effort to reduce transmission of Malaria by 5 percent in 2016 and 1 percent by 2020, the Minister of Health, Community, Development, Gender, Elderly and Children, Ummy Mwalimu has disclosed in a news conference that the Government of Tanzania has stopped charges for treatment and medicines provided to malaria patients in public hospitals in the country: they are required to pay consultation fees only.
